It's St. Valentine's Day!
Not a big day for us, really. Hubby wants to go out to dinner but I just know that the restaurants will be crowded, over crowded really. And I'm not too comfortable with the idea of leaving the boys with the Girl for a couple of hours. Fifteen to twenty minutes, yes. Long enough to take Hubby to or pick up Hubby from work, yes. But an hour or more? I don't think so. I think instead that I'll have the kids help pick up the house and get the dining room ready for a nice dinner. Table cloth, candlelight, the works. I got some porkchops today for braising and baking and I'll even make some mashed potatoes, Hubby's favorite food. I hope he enjoys it.
Chapter 17 of Serendipity is with Liz right now. I hope she gets online soon to beta it for me. Then I can slap it up and and be done for the night. Chapter 18 is taking shape in my mind and I hope it will work. But tonight I will turn off the computer (after chapter 17 is betaread and up) and leave it off for the evening. Probably the best gift I can give my Hubby on this Valentine's Day: my time.
