and as a result, everyone is home. Hubby has taken the dryer apart with an eye to replacing the felt. This should eliminate the brown spots that we've been getting on our clothes (particularly some of the thinner fabrics) and stop the dryer from squeaking. It has meant a tough scraping job to get the old felt off and I've sent him out to take a break and satisfy his craving for Taco Bell tacos (he'll be bringing them back home for us to eat). Now if I can only keep him away from Civilization III when he gets back home.

Chapter four of Serendipity is up on ff.net, and I got a wickedly good review from Claudette. I hope these people aren't disappointed when I finally reveal just who Lou is in the story. Chapter nine has been giving me fits; I can't decide if the information I've collected about the rescue venue should be applied. I'll have to go back and make a decision one way or the other. I keep getting little bits of business to put in. One between Jeff and Spot is rather funny and I hope it gets the laughs it deserves. But chapter nine has to continue before I can get to "The Good Stuff". My friend, C, has figured out that Lou is indeed an anti-Mary Sue, set up to poke fun at the "babe washed up on the beach Mary Sue". I hope I can accomplish what I set out to do.

Hubby has returned from the wars, so I'm off to lunch.
