A lethargic day today.
Jun. 25th, 2005 07:40 pmHaven't felt like doing a doggone thing all day today. Don't know if it's my blood sugar or what. Did a little bit of writing, mostly writing a scene at the beginning of The White Winds chapter 5, folded some clothes, but not much else. I should take my meds, but I'm not really hungry because I ate two pieces of pizza just a couple of hours after having a sandwich. I'll check my blood sugar presently.
The Girl had a friend over last night. We picked her up after her summer school exams yesterday morning. The friend was taking a geography course over the summer so that she could have both Spanish and orchestra in her fall schedule. Otherwise, she'd have to choose between them. I never mind having the Girl's friends over. They are, on the whole, a good bunch of girls and I'm glad my Girl has them as friends.
Spent a good amount of time yesterday sorting through our vacation pictures and transferring them from CD to my hard disk. Once I added some high contrast to some of the Carlsbad pictures, you could actually see what they were pictures of. Boy #2 got the best pictures of all of us; both in quality and in number (of course, he had two cameras, but even he had more good shots per camera). I've done a bit to make a few of them Internet ready, resampling them to bring the images down in kb size as well as viewer scale. Once I have them ready, I'll post them to my photobucket account and probably blog them to here. I might add them to my MSN blog if I have the space.
Had to deal with a 14-year-old girl who kept adding these little inane remarks like, "whatever" and "yeah, somebody should keep an eye on me" in the middle of topic threads on Thunderbirds World. She's welcome to view the site all she wants, but she's no longer going to be able to post those stupid comments. I have to wonder about kids like that; where are their parents? My Girl is all upset because I put Teen parental controls on her email address and now she can't get into sites where she could before (what good is the "child" level if she's getting into those sites, anyway.) She's found a way around it, though, Mozilla Firefox. Still, I was looking over her shoulder today as she did a search on Japanese family names. And in many ways, she's either more mature than other girls her age, or perhaps more polite. I can't see her doing what this other girl was doing, trolling a site for her own jollies.
Got some requests out for the C2 Community. The deadline is coming up for our next showcase and I need some permssions. Hope to hear from them soon. Need an address for Rathead, too. Asked funkycheese to get it for me. Probably will see her tomorrow for the IR:TNP brainstorming session.
