After a whole lot of trial and error on my part, I finally got my 80 gig hard drive set up. The computer that my Bro gave me didn't even acknowledge its existence. My old emachine, however, did, so that's where the drive is. Of course it meant reloading and re-downloading all my programs and a few more besides. I took the CD burner from the other computer and installed it in mine (it was so easy!), so after Hubby reloads my music (using his music program) then I'll have everything back where it belongs. What's more, I can make my own hash CDs. I do miss my playlists.

Lucie has a new site, and though she's been stealing pictures from here and there, and took the biographies from the official Carlton site (she notes that she's done this on the home page), she seems to have learned her lesson about stealing fanfiction.... we hope. She's been booted but good from fanfics.org for plagiarism, too. Her other sites are still down and all in all, I feel like we've accomplished something worthwhile.

Masquerade Chapter 13 is up, as well as chapter one of my movie-verse fic, The White Winds. We'll see how well I can balance those two. I've started on Chapter 14 of Masquerade; it may take me a bit to get it done. It's so intense right now. But I'll be bringing things back to the Tracy family soon.

School is winding down and the kids aren't doing much anymore, just staying in school long enough to get the required 180 days in. There was a massive fight at the boys' school Thursday, involving a lot of Boy #1's classmates; after recess he was the only boy left in his classroom. Only two of the boys returned the following day; from what Boy #1 told me, they were victims in the fight. They have their awards ceremony on Monday night... a full week before school actually ends. Then Boy #1 has three field trips in a row, including the coveted ride in a limo with the principal for both of them. The Girl has had end of course tests in her honors courses. There was fight at her school this week, too, involving two girls, one of whom the Girl is marginally acquainted with.

She had blood work done this week because of a persistent problem with her urine. The blood work came up fine, but since the other problem had been so persistent, the pediatrician is referring us to a nephrologist. We'll see what he or she has to say. And Boy #2 has to see the retinal specialist, hopefully for the very last time! So much going on... so little brain to deal with it.
