Had the brainstorming session today and it degenerated into a cat fight at one point. Suz came in and chatted for a bit with TawnyAngel, then asked what was going on. I had recapped at least twice before and asked Hobbeth to recap for me. She didn't, at least not right away. Why? She was tired of the "irrelevant convos" going on around her. Frankie got offended because she felt that some chitchat should be expected, especially when someone has just arrived, then Hobbeth got huffier. Tawny had to beg and plead with Hobbeth not to leave, and she relented. But finally I had to just get in there and put my size 12 down with a loud: ENOUGH! Sometimes, I feel like a referee. Jools arrived late and, I think, slightly pickled after a party for his birthday. I mentioned I was writing a post for another site, and he said he needed to join some other sites, spread around his creativity. Fortunately we had finished things up before he appeared. And all the catfight will be gone when I edit the transcript of the brainstorming session.

Then there was the whole thing about Tawny and her character's romance with John. It finally dawned on me from what all three of the assistant managers said that Tawny basically went behind my back to further her own aims! I was not pleased, and have written to tell her so. Funkycheese is going to help her out with some scenes from John's perspective, but I've warned her about Tawny's "fall in love today, married with kids tomorrow" tendencies and she assures me that she'll keep Tawny reined in. I can trust her to do that.

On top of all of this sturm und drang, I may have a broken toe. It's looking rather bruised and nasty at the moment and it actually aches, which is odd for me and my numb feet. Oh well, it's not the first time it's happened, and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Hubby goes back to work tomorrow, leaving the bathroom unfinished. Somehow, I knew it would be this way.
