Not much going on here...

It might rain tomorrow, which would be lovely--our first rain all month! The days are getting marginally cooler and shorter, the first at least is welcome, but the kids would rather have the longer days to play outside after homework is through.

Hubby will be starting some serious stuff next week at work; a mail count every day for a week then a route inspection. First time it's happened to him in the seven years he's been with the USPS and he's nervous. So nervous that he went to the union meeting last week to find out what it was all about. He'd never been to a union meeting before. At least now he knows that if he goes again, the fridge there is stocked with soda.

Overtures is giving me fits; I have a first portion of Chapter 7 done, and I've written a scene for later, but I just can't seem to get started beyond that first part. The White Winds 14 went up the other day, it's garnered over 8000 hits and 117 reviews as of today... whew! That's more than any other story I've written.

I'm considering taking my Bekkah fics off of ff.net. I've improved a lot since then and they're not getting a lot of traffic. I'd leave them up at IR:TNP and might post them at fanfics.org, and I'd copy all the reviews, but they need some revision if I'm going to keep them online. They were my "Mary Sue" phase, and I can say that now, even though Bekkah was less of a "Mary Sue" than others of her ilk. But Lou is a much better character and... well, I'm thinking about it. I'm also thinking of possibly reworking her into the movie verse... after all, there was no indication at all where Fermat's mother was. If any of my online friends see this, please comment and give me your advice.

My new MSN blog, the one dealing with writing, is getting off to a good start. I've gotten some cool advice and some nice comments, some of them very thought provoking. I hope I can keep up the dialogue with those who are interested in writing, and perhaps give a crash course in English grammar while I'm at it... now that would be a task and a half!
