Yes, the news is spreading. I'm sad, especially since it's been said he went downhill very quickly over the past few months. At least he had the foresight to prepare for a care facility when things became beyond what he and his family could deal with.
My mom is dealing with a similar disorder. I think part of the reason my sister wanted us up to visit and celebrate Mom's birthday is that she doesn't think Mom would still be relatively cognizant for her 75th.
