It has begun.
Mar. 27th, 2005 10:29 amIt's Easter, and I really wanted to be in church. But there's been a big change in the weather and my feet have been giving me the heebie-jeebies for twenty-four hours now. I didn't get to sleep until after 3 a.m. and I slept on the couch so as not to wake Hubby. The pain is sharp at times, even though I've taken my meds this morning. We are going to the Bro's house today for Easter dinner. My parents will be there, too; a final family time before all returns to the routine of the work and school week.
I started Masquerade. I hope I can keep up the same level of quality that I had in Serendipity. I'm also looking for that elusive 100th review on Serendipity, too. Someone has written a parody about the "babe on the beach" Mary Sue. Amanda thought I was being slammed. Liz thought it was kind of cute. I really wasn't offended; that was until one of the reviewers said she'd never read another "babe on the beach" fic without laughing all the way through it. I'm contemplating whether or not to ask the author if she was poking fun at the cliché in general, or my fic in particular. Her last line "Sorry, but it had to be done", makes me think it was at the cliché, still there's that little niggling doubt. I'll think about it some more and decide.
The bathroom is finally at the grouting stage and the floor is done but needs cleaning. Robert has some little spots to do on the walls, then it will be time to paint. I want to paint the door and window, too and will look for a nice coordinating color. It's been a bear of a week what with all the trips to Lowe's and Home Depot and the plumbing leaks discovered here there and everywhere. Speaking of which, I need to go shower. TTFN.
