and it's not even over yet.

Lucie has been told by MSN to remove that portion of Masquerade that she has on her so-called site. She has less than 48 hours now, and I hope she goes away for the weekend or something so her site can be pulled. And I hope that they pull all of her sites on MSN.

We had the Girl's slumber party last night. They didn't stay up too late, but I guess the Niece was under the impression that she'd be the only guest, so she had a major attitude problem. It went away when the guests did, but returned when we went to her house after going to the Chinese buffet to celebrate my birthday, the Girl's birthday, and Mother's Day (though that got rather short shrift). I need to put a bug in my SIL's ear about this. I did celebrate by eating cake and ice cream, and that might be why I'm in pain now.

I asked Rain to do a drabble for me; a loving thought from Lucille Tracy to/about Jeff. I'm posting it here for all to see.

There you go again, leaving me. You're forever on the move.

It’s one of the reasons I married you.

You’ve got this intense drive, an invincible, believable, unrelenting urge to do good, for yourself, for me, for our kids, for the world… I love the way your eyes tell me more than your words, I hate to do this Lucy but you know I have to. And I do.

A mind of sharpest thought, a heart of warm steel. There’s room for more than six in there. You can change the world Jeff Tracy. And that’s why I love you.

Isn't that cool?

With everything that's been going on with Lucie and her antics, I haven't been able to get to Masquerade. Just a little bit of Chapter 12, that's it. I need to settle down and just do it. I've also started a movie-verse fic. Sort of a "show them how it's done" bit concerning Alan and Fermat at Wharton. Someone had put a fic with an implausible plot and an unrealistic ending. Spurred me to work on something to balance that. Masquerade comes first, though. If there's a sequel to Masquerade, I want to call it Overtures. The name just popped into my head a few weeks ago, then I lost it. Found it again while cleaning off the small couch.

Sigh. Need to get back to chatting with the gals. Liz is back and I'm glad to see her.
