tikatu | Turnabout is coming along right now

Got Chapter 7 of Turnabout up yesterday and got some nice reviews on it, too. Chapter 8 is finished or nearly so; I'll have to ask Liz what she thinks. I'm thinking that the cliffhanger should be Jeff ordering the team into action, but the whisper that I have now might work as well.

It's been good to feel the writing roll along; this is the way I wish it always was, the words flowing from my fingers almost without my own conscious thought, the picture I see in my head translating itself into the words and descriptions that will put that same picture in the heads of my readers. But it doesn't always run that way. Writer's block descends all too often, or the muse for one fic is more insistent and pushy than the others and I have to listen to her instead of the ones I feel obligated to attend to. One of these days I'll be doing this for a living as well as my own enjoyment. I hope it never, ever seems like drudgery.

The kids are watching TV again, Tika is lying on the back of the couch, and I should do some housework. So I think I'll turn on my away messages and get something done before the hubby comes home.
